Propose and Full access
Each connected agent either proposes its changes for you to accept or reject, or applies them as it makes them.

Each connected agent either proposes its changes for you to accept or reject, or applies them as it makes them.
Every connected agent has one of two settings for how its changes reach your diagrams.
| Mode | When this agent changes a diagram |
|---|---|
| Propose | Each change waits on the canvas until you accept or reject it. Your agent pauses until you answer. |
| Full access | Changes appear as your agent makes them, and you can undo any of them. Removing more than three objects or clearing a canvas still waits for you. Your agent can also ask for your review when it's unsure. |
Propose is the default. Your agent's changes to diagrams it created itself appear directly in either mode.
You choose the setting when you approve an agent, whether it signs in through your browser, with a code at lycana.ai/activate, or with an agent key you create. You can change it any time:
An agent can't change its own setting. When it proposes a change, Lycana tells it that you can give it Full access, so it may suggest that to you.
In either mode, and even on a diagram the agent created, these changes are always proposals:
An edit that only gives nodes new, empty subcanvases applies at once, even in Propose.
An agent with Full access can send a change as a proposal on purpose: over MCP it passes review: true, and with the CLI it runs lycana edit --review. Lycana asks agents to do this before changes you would want to check first, such as restructuring or replacing large parts of a diagram, removing or renaming what you drew, or guesses about your system, and not for routine additions.
In Propose, every change is a proposal already.
After proposing a change, the agent waits about 50 seconds for your answer. If you haven't answered by then, it gets an id for the proposal and can wait again (with get_proposal over MCP, or lycana proposal on the command line). It doesn't assume the change is in the diagram until you accept it.
If you remove an agent in Connected agents, its pending proposals are rejected.
Accepted proposals, and changes an agent with Full access applies directly, join the diagram's history. Your undo reverses them like any other change. Agents can't undo.
