Lycana doesn't run an agent itself. Agent access is for the agents you already use: you connect one to your Lycana account, and it works on your diagrams through the same nodes, links, boundaries, and notes you do.
Both offer the same abilities. Use whichever your agent speaks.
Add Lycana's MCP address to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Claude, or any other MCP client. Your agent opens Lycana in your browser so you can approve it.
Install lycana (Node 20 or later). lycana login shows a short code that you approve at lycana.ai/activate on any device.
When you approve an agent, you choose how its changes reach your diagrams:
Removing more than three objects or clearing a canvas always waits for you, in either mode. Propose and Full access explains both, and how to change the setting.
While an agent works on a diagram, the canvas toolbar names it, such as "Claude Code is editing". Its changes appear on the canvas as they happen. If you are dragging, resizing, or editing text at the time, a change waits and appears as soon as you finish.
Agent changes join the diagram's history, so you can undo them like any other change. Agents can't undo.
If the diagram changed after the agent read it, the agent's change still applies unless it touches an object that changed. In that case Lycana rejects the change, and the agent reads the diagram again and redoes it. Moving objects or rearranging the layout never causes a rejection.
Connecting an agent is free.
When Lycana Pro ends, your connections keep working within the Free plan's limits. Agents can't change diagrams that have become read-only.
An agent can work on any diagram you can open: your personal diagrams, and those of every organization you belong to. It chooses one for each request.
Lycana limits how quickly one account's agents can change diagrams: up to 120 changes a minute, in bursts of up to 60, across all of the account's agents. An agent that goes over is told how long to wait before trying again.
Every agent you connect appears in Settings → Connected agents, with whether it uses Propose or Full access and when it last worked. You can change its setting or remove it there. Removing an agent rejects its pending proposals and stops it working at once.
Agents can't see or change Grind practice diagrams.
